Keep several mails open in tabs

In XgenPlus each mail you open gets its own tab in the reading pane, named after the sender, so several mails stay open at once. Click a tab to switch, or its X to close it. To move through a folder without going back to the list, use the down (next) and up (previous) arrows at the top right.

How to keep several mails open in tabs

  1. Click a mail in the list. It opens in a tab in the reading pane.
  2. Click another mail. It opens in a new tab next to the first.
  3. Click a tab to switch to it, or its X to close it.
  4. To go to the next or previous mail in the folder, click the down or up arrow at the top right of the reading pane.

When to use it

Meera in purchase keeps the vendor quotation, the internal approval and the PO confirmation open in three tabs while she checks the figures.

Good to know

  • Tabs for mails you sent show your own name.
  • Next and previous keep your sort order and any search filter. The folder name and range, for example [1 - 50], link back to the list.
