Follow up on mail awaiting a reply

To see sent mails that have not been answered, expand Category in the left pane and click Reply Awaited. It lists the mails you sent with Reply Await turned on that have no reply yet. To see mails waiting to go out later, click Scheduled Mail in the same list.

How to follow up on mail awaiting a reply

  1. In the left pane, click Category to expand the list.
  2. Click Reply Awaited to see sent mails that are still waiting for an answer.
  3. Open a mail and follow it up, for example by sending a reminder.
  4. Click Scheduled Mail to see mails queued for later delivery.

When to use it

Every Friday, Rohit in sales at acme.in opens Reply Awaited. It shows the five quotations customers have not answered this week, and he calls each of them before the weekend.

Good to know

  • Only mails sent with Reply Await turned on appear in Reply Awaited. Turn it on in Compose for one mail, or by default in Settings › Default Settings.
  • Scheduled Mail is a view only: selecting, moving and deleting are not available from this list.
  • Both are category views, not folders. The mails stay in Sent or in the scheduled queue.
