Filter your Inbox with tag chips

Above your Inbox, a row of chips shows All plus each tag your administrator has created. Click a chip to show only Inbox mails with that tag, and click All to see everything again. The chips appear only if your administrator has set up tags, and they hide while mails are selected.

How to filter your inbox with tag chips

  1. Open Inbox.
  2. Click a tag chip above the list to show only mails with that tag.
  3. Click All to clear the filter.

When to use it

At acme.in the administrator has created a tag for system notifications. Rohit clicks that chip to check the overnight alerts, then clicks All to go back to the rest of his Inbox.

Good to know

  • The tags are the same for every user and are managed centrally, so you cannot add your own chips here. To label a single mail for yourself, use Tag on the open mail.
  • A Subscriptions tag exists by default. Its chip shows newsletters and lets you unsubscribe from them.

Common questions

Why don't I see any tag chips?

The chips come from tags your administrator creates. If none have been set up, only the normal Inbox list appears. The chips are also hidden while you have mails selected.
