When to use it

Rohit leads two projects at acme.in. He creates a folder "Projects" with sub-folders "Alpha" and "Beta", then drags each project's mails into the right one. A rule now files new mail there automatically.

Options

Option What it does
Folder Name Letters, numbers, underscore and hyphen, with at most one space.
Parent Folder Puts the new folder inside another one. The left pane shows up to three levels.
Rename Changes the folder's name.
Delete Removes an empty folder.
Drag and drop Moves selected mails from the list onto a folder in the left pane. Unread counts update straight away.

Good to know

  • The Folders page lists System Folders and My Folders with the number of mails and space used in each.
  • To file mail automatically as it arrives, create a rule with the action Move to the specified folder.
  • You can share any of your folders with colleagues from the same page.

Common questions

Why can't I delete a folder?

A folder that still has mails or sub-folders can't be deleted. Move or delete its mails and delete its child folders first.

Why can't I add more folders?

Your administrator sets how many personal folders you can have. When you reach the limit, XgenPlus tells you how many are allowed.
