Send a personal copy to a contact group
To mail a contact group, open Classic compose and click Group Mail. Put one contact group in To, write the mail and send. Each member gets their own copy and cannot see the others. To personalise it, use Insert Add. Tags, for example FIRST_NAME after "Dear", and each copy is filled in from that member's contact details.
How to send a personal copy to a contact group
- Click the arrow next to Compose Mail, turn on Classic and click Compose Mail.
- Click Group Mail.
- In To, choose one contact group.
- Write the mail. To personalise it, place the cursor and choose a field from Insert Add. Tags, such as FIRST_NAME.
- Preview the personalised mail, then send.
When to use it
A school office sends the monthly fee reminder to the "Class 8 Parents" group. Each parent gets an individual mail that starts "Dear Priya" or "Dear Rahul", and no parent sees the others' addresses.

Good to know
- Group Mail is in Classic compose. To switch, click the arrow next to Compose Mail and turn on Classic.
- Encryption, digital signing, user rights and hide attachment cannot be used with group mail.
- Fill in your contacts' details first, because each copy uses the details saved for that member.
Common questions
Can I send to two contact groups at once?
No. Only one group is allowed, and it must be the only entry in To. Groups are not allowed in Cc or Bcc.
Does every member count towards my daily limit?
Yes. Each member's copy counts as one mail. The quota box shows the total before sending.
