Update users of all domains at once
To change a setting for users on every domain, open the admin console and go to Manage Server › Bulk Update. Change one value, then click its Update, Enable or Disable button. XgenPlus shows each domain in turn with the counts it will change. Click Ok to apply, Skip to leave that domain, or Cancel to stop.
How to update users of all domains at once
Where: Admin console › Manage Server › Bulk Update
- Open Manage Server › Bulk Update.
- Change one value in a section, or choose a service or default to switch.
- Click that row's Update, Update Services, Enable or Disable button.
- In the box headed Domain Name with the domain and a count such as 1/12, read how many users are Already Enabled and how many Will be updated.
- Click Ok to apply to that domain and move to the next one, Skip to leave it as it is, or Cancel to stop.
How it works
A note at the top reads "Showing below setting of domain X as a reference". The values on the page come from one domain and may differ in other domains. If you change one, all the domains on the server get that setting.
After you click an update button, a box opens for the first domain. It shows the domain name, how far you are (for example 1/12), and for the field you chose:
- Updating the field on a number of users,
- how many users are Already Enabled,
- how many Will be updated.
| Button in the box | What it does |
|---|---|
| Ok | Applies the change to every user of this domain and opens the next domain. |
| Skip | Leaves this domain unchanged and opens the next. |
| Cancel | Stops. Domains you already confirmed stay changed. |

- Some actions show an extra warning. For example, clicking Enable on the row "Allow sending mails only to Global and Admin Address Book" warns that forwarding rules on both internal and external domains will be deleted on all users.
- Each button changes one setting only.
- A domain administrator can run a bulk update for a single domain from Bulk Update under that domain in Manage Domain(s).
Common questions
Does this change one domain or all of them?
All of them. The page shows one domain's values only as a reference. After you click an update button you step through every domain on the server, and you choose Ok or Skip for each.
Can I change several settings in one go?
No. Each button changes one setting. Run it once for each setting.
