Give a resource to a domain
To give a resource to a domain, open Manage Server › Add Resource. Type the domain and verify it, choose the Resource Type and the Resource Name, and click Save. The resource is then available in that domain. Create the types and resources first in Add Resource Type.

Fields
| Field | What it does | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Domain | The domain that receives the resource. Type it and click the search button next to it. A tick means the domain exists; a cross means it does not. Required. | Empty |
| Resource Type | A type created in Add Resource Type. Required. | Nothing chosen |
| Resource Name | The resources of that type. The list fills after you choose the type. Required. | Resource Name (nothing chosen) |
| Save / Update / Reset | Save gives the resource to the domain. After you click edit on a row, Update saves the change and Reset clears the form. |
The table lists Domain, Resource Type, Resource and Actions (edit and delete). Deleting asks you to confirm that you want to delete the resource from that domain.
Example
Anita's board room, "Board Room 1", is defined at the server. Rohit opens Add Resource, types acme.in, verifies it, picks Room and Board Room 1, and clicks Save. The room now shows up for acme.in.
Good to know
- Giving the same resource to the same domain twice shows Already Exist.
- A resource that has already been booked cannot be deleted from the domain.
- The details of the resource, such as capacity and facilities, are kept in Add Resource Type.
Common questions
The Resource Type list is empty. What now?
Create the type and its resources first in Add Resource Type. Only those appear here.
Why can't I remove a resource from a domain?
If someone in that domain has already booked it, XgenPlus refuses and tells you the resource has been already used.
