Print a password-protected PDF attachment

XgenPlus does not restrict password-protected PDF attachments after you open them in webmail or the mobile app. To print one, open the PDF in Chrome or Brave, enter its password and press Ctrl + P. Choose your printer or Save as PDF and print. Whether printing is allowed depends on the PDF's own permissions, your browser or your PDF app.

Good to know

  • Printing depends on your browser or PDF app and on the PDF's own permissions.
  • To print the mail itself, see Print a mail.

Common questions

Does XgenPlus stop me printing a protected PDF?

No. XgenPlus does not restrict password-protected PDF attachments once you open them in webmail or the mobile app. If printing is blocked, the PDF's own permissions, your browser or your PDF app is stopping it.

Why is Print greyed out for my PDF?

The person who made the PDF may have turned off printing in its permissions. Ask the sender for a copy that allows printing.
