Send from another address

To send from another address, pick it in the From list when you compose. Your alias addresses are listed there. To add an address you own elsewhere, choose Add another email id in Classic compose, click Send Verification and enter the code mailed to that address. Your admin must allow multiple From addresses.

For: EveryoneWeb

How to send from another address

  1. In the compose window, open the From list and choose the address to send from.
  2. To add a new one, turn on Classic compose, open From and choose Add another email id.
  3. Enter the name and address and click Send Verification.
  4. Open the mail sent to that address, enter the confirmation code and click Verify.
  5. Choose the new address in From whenever you need it.

When to use it

Divya is a consultant who also owns divya@herfirm.in. She verifies it once, sets it as default, and her client replies keep coming from the same address while she works in XgenPlus. Her colleague Arun sends from support@acme.in, an alias of his mailbox, so replies go to the support queue.

Good to know

  • Adding other addresses needs the Multiple From-ID (Send As) option, which your domain administrator turns on.
  • An address cannot be used until it is verified.
  • If undo send is on, you can still change the From address during the countdown after clicking Send.
