Add recipients as you type
To add recipients quickly, start typing a name or address in To, Cc or Bcc and pick a suggestion from your contacts and the organisation address book. Each address becomes a separate chip you can remove with its cross. You can also paste a list separated by commas or semicolons, and XgenPlus splits it and removes duplicates.
How to add recipients as you type
- In the compose window, click To, or click Cc or Bcc to show those lines.
- Type the first letters of a name or address.
- Click the right suggestion.
- To add many at once, paste a list of addresses separated by commas or semicolons.
- Click the cross on a chip to remove that address.
When to use it
Ritu copies 25 addresses from an Excel sheet and pastes them into To. Each one becomes its own chip, and the two addresses that appeared twice in the sheet are added only once.
Good to know
- Suggestions come from your own contacts and, when allowed, the organisation's global and admin address books.
- To cannot be left blank.
- Invalid addresses are flagged before the mail is sent.
Common questions
Why does XgenPlus say an address was not recognised?
The address is not a valid email address, for example a missing @ or a typing error. Correct it or remove it before sending.
Why don't I see colleagues in the suggestions?
Suggestions from the organisation address book depend on your settings and what your admin allows. Check Auto search as I type in To, Cc, Bcc in your mail settings.
