Why is my attachment type blocked?
If you see "You are not allowed to attach" a file extension, your administrator has blocked that file type, for example .exe or .bat, for security. The file is not attached. Remove it and send the information in an allowed format, such as a PDF, or ask your administrator whether the file can be shared another way.

How to why is my attachment type blocked?
- Attach the file as usual.
- If an error appears next to the file, read which extension is not allowed.
- Remove the blocked file from the mail.
- Send the content in an allowed format, or ask your administrator for help.
When to use it
A hospital's IT team blocks .exe and .js attachments. When Dr Mehta's assistant tries to mail a setup.exe to a vendor, the file is refused with a message naming the extension.
Good to know
