Fields
| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| Send Alert Email before | Yes sends an alert mail the chosen number of days before the service expires. Pick 1 to 31 days. |
| Send Reminder Email before | Yes sends reminder mails starting the chosen number of days before expiry and continuing until the expiry date. Pick 1 to 31 days. |
| Block the Service and Send Email | Yes blocks the service when it expires and sends a mail about it. The block is applied on the expiry date. |
Example
Meera sets the alert to 15 days and the reminder to 7 days. For
acme.inthe first alert goes out about two weeks ahead, and reminders follow in the last week.
Good to know
- Service expiry is enforced. When a service passes its expiry date, XgenPlus blocks it if Block the Service and Send Email is Yes, so renew before the date.
- The day pickers are active only while their switch is Yes.
- The alert days must be greater than the reminder days. If you pick a combination that does not fit, the page shows a message and does not save.
Common questions
Why does the page say the alert days must be greater than the reminder days?
The alert mail goes out first, then reminders follow closer to expiry. So the alert must be set to more days before expiry than the reminder. The page refuses a combination that does not fit.
