Mark everything in a folder as read

Open a folder, tap the overflow menu and choose Mark all as read, then confirm. Every message in that folder becomes read. It works on one account and one folder at a time, so it is not available in Unified Inbox or the Outbox. You can switch off the confirmation in settings.

How to mark everything in a folder as read

Where: Message list › overflow › Mark all as read

  1. Open the folder.
  2. Tap the overflow menu.
  3. Tap Mark all as read.
  4. Confirm the question "Do you want to mark all messages as read?".

When to use it

Rohit returns from leave and clears a newsletter folder with one tap.

Good to know

  • The confirmation is on by default. Turn it off in Interaction settings under Confirm actions.
  • The change is sent to the mail server, so webmail shows the same messages as read.
