Empty Trash in the Android app

Open the Trash folder, tap the overflow menu, choose Empty Trash and confirm. All messages in Trash are deleted from the server. The option appears only when you are inside the Trash folder. Deleted mail cannot be brought back afterwards.

How to empty trash in the android app

Where: Trash folder › overflow › Empty Trash

  1. Open Trash from the menu.
  2. Tap the overflow menu.
  3. Tap Empty Trash.
  4. Confirm "Do you want to empty the trash folder?".

When to use it

Anita's mailbox is nearly full, so she empties Trash after checking nothing needed is in it.

Good to know

  • If your account has no Trash folder set, Delete removes a message straight away.
  • You need an internet connection because the server holds the mail.
