Save and finish drafts

To keep a mail, tap the overflow menu in compose and choose Save as draft, or press back and choose Save as draft. The app also saves a draft if you switch to another app. Open Drafts and tap the mail to continue. Discard asks for confirmation by default.

How to save and finish drafts

Where: Compose › overflow › Save as draft

  1. In compose, tap the overflow menu and choose Save as draft.
  2. Or press back and choose Save as draft when asked.
  3. Later, open Drafts and tap the mail to continue writing.

When to use it

Anita is interrupted by a call, switches app, and finds her half-written mail waiting in Drafts.

Good to know

  • There is no timed autosave. A draft is saved when you leave or pause the screen with changes.
  • If no Drafts folder is set for the account you see "No Drafts folder configured for this account!".
  • Discard asks you to confirm unless you turn that off in settings.
