Why an attachment was removed as a virus

If you see "Virus Infected Attachment Removed." on a mail, XgenPlus's virus check found an infected attachment and removed it before the mail reached you. The rest of the mail is delivered as normal. Do not ask the sender to resend the same file; ask them to scan it and share a clean copy.

How to why an attachment was removed as a virus

  1. Open the mail and look for the virus icon and the text Virus Infected Attachment Removed.
  2. Contact the sender through a known channel and ask them to scan the file and send a clean copy.

When to use it

Rohit is expecting an invoice from a supplier, but the mail shows "Virus Infected Attachment Removed." He calls the supplier, who finds an infected PC and sends a clean invoice the next day.
