Remove a folder shared with you

To remove a folder someone shared with you, click your profile picture and open Folders. Find the folder listed as Folder of the colleague who shared it, click Unshare and confirm. The folder disappears from your list, and the owner's folder and mails are not affected.

How to remove a folder shared with you

Where: Profile menu › Folders

  1. Click your profile picture at the top right and open Folders.
  2. Find the shared folder, shown as Folder of the owner's address.
  3. Click Unshare.
  4. Confirm when asked. You will no longer see the folder.

When to use it

Rohit moves from the sales team to accounts at acme.in. He no longer needs the team's shared "Leads" folder, so he unshares it from his own list. His old manager still has it.

Good to know

  • Only your access is removed. The owner and other colleagues keep the folder.
  • To get the folder back, ask the owner to share it with you again.
