Import user attribute values from CSV
To set custom attributes for many users, open Admin console › Manage Domain(s) › your domain › Bulk Add and click the Attribute Value tab. Download attribute.csv, enter each user's login name and the values under the attribute columns, then click Upload and choose the file. The attributes must already exist on your domain.

Where: Admin console › Manage Domain(s) › your domain › Bulk Add › Attribute Value
- Open Manage Domain(s), expand your domain and click Bulk Add.

CSV columns
| Column | What to enter | Required |
|---|---|---|
| Email Address /Login Name | The login name of the user, for example meera@acme.in. |
Yes |
| Attribute columns | One column for each attribute created on your domain, named exactly as the attribute. The value for that user goes in the cell. | Fill the ones you need |
Download a fresh example file for each domain, because the attribute columns come from that domain.
Example
Acme India adds an Employee Code attribute and a Branch attribute to acme.in. HR exports 800 rows with the login name and the two values, and Anita uploads them in one go on the Attribute Value tab.
Good to know
- Attributes can be used to build dynamic groups, so a group can follow a branch or a department.
- Only CSV files are accepted.
- Only one upload runs at a time. If you see Already Processing, wait for the current file to finish.
Common questions
Where do I create the attributes?
In Edit Domain, on the Option tab, under User Attribute(s). Add the attribute key there first.
Can I give every user the same value?
Yes. Use Bulk Update, where you pick the attribute, type one value and update all users in one step.
