Find your way around the admin console
The admin console has a header with the audit log, your profile and Logout, a sidebar with four shortcuts (Dashboard, Mail, Add User, Logs), a Navigation menu and a search box. As domain administrator, expand Manage Domain(s) and your domain name to reach users, groups, policy and tools. Backup & Archival and Reports sit above it.
How to find your way around the admin console
Where: Admin console › sidebar › Navigation
- Open the admin console from webmail. The Dashboard opens first.
- Use the four icons at the top of the sidebar for Dashboard, Mail, Add User and Logs.

- Type a user, email address or mobile number in the search box at the top to find a user quickly.
- Check the You are here line above the page to see where you are.

The header
| Item | What it does |

A small pencil next to your domain name opens Edit Domain. Mailing Lists appears only if mailing lists are turned on for your domain. Long domain names are shortened in the menu, and the full name shows when you hover over it.
The search box and the line above the page
The box at the top of the page finds a user in your domain by name, email address or mobile number. If your domain administrator account was given access to other domains, the box also takes a domain name. The You are here line shows the page you are on, and its first icon brings you back to the Dashboard. The arrow button at the edge of the sidebar hides or shows the sidebar.

On her first morning at acme.in, Meera opens the console and lands on the Dashboard. She expands Manage Domain(s), clicks acme.in and opens Policy to see what is set. Later she types rohit@acme.in in the search box to open his account.
Good to know
- Your session details sit under your email at the top right, including your last sign-in IP. If you do not recognise it, change your password and tell your server administrator.
- Items change with your role. A menu you cannot see is not available to your role.
Common questions
Where is the menu for my users and groups?
Open Manage Domain(s) in the Navigation menu, then click your domain name. Add User, Manage Users, Manage Groups and the other items are listed under it.
I cannot see Backup & Archival or Reports.
Those menus belong to domain administrators. Support and Group administrators see only the one item that matches their role, and Billing administrators see only Reports and the Service Report.
