Verify your domain
To verify your domain, open DNS & Verification in your dashboard and add any one of four proofs: a TXT record, a CNAME record, an HTML file or a meta tag. The dashboard shows the exact value for each. Click Check now. Ownership is verified as soon as one method is found.

When to use it
After buying, Meera opens DNS & Verification for acme.in, copies the TXT value, adds it in her registrar's DNS panel and clicks Check now. Ten minutes later the status changes to Ownership verified.
The four methods
The dashboard shows a personal code for your domain. It is part of every value below.
| Method | What you add |
|---|---|
| TXT record | Type TXT, host @, value starting with xgenplus-site-verification= followed by your code. This is the most common method. |
| CNAME | Type CNAME, host xgen followed by your code, pointing to verify.xgenplus.com. |
| HTML file | Download the verification file and upload it to the root folder of your website, so it opens at your domain with your code in its name. |
| Meta tag | Paste the shown xgenplus-site-verification meta tag into the head section of your home page. |
Good to know
- Domain ownership and email delivery are separate. A domain can be verified while its mail records are still pending.
- Once verified, the dashboard shows which method proved it.
- If you chose Verify later while buying, a Verify by date is shown. Complete verification before it.
- Mail starts working only after the MX and SPF records are in place. See the DNS record pages.
