Buy more users for your domain
To buy more users, open the Users tab in your dashboard, select your domain and click Buy more users. Choose how many users to add on which plan and pay what the page shows, which covers the days left in your term. Then create the new mailboxes in the admin console.
How to buy more users for your domain
Where: Dashboard › Users › Buy more users
- Open the Users tab and select your domain.
- Click Buy more users.
- Next to Add, enter the number of users and choose the plan.
- Check What you pay now: subtotal, taxable amount, GST and total.
- Click to pay and complete the payment.
- Create the new mailboxes in the admin console.
When to use it
Acme hires 15 people for a new branch. The admin buys 15 more users on Premium. The charge covers only the months left in the term, and from the next renewal the larger count is billed at the full yearly rate. He then creates the mailboxes in the admin console.
What the Users tab shows

Good to know
- The charge is for the days left on the current term. The next renewal is at the new size.
- Mid-term additions are not refundable.
- On a trial domain this button reads Upgrade instead. See the plan change page.
- Reducing users during a paid term does not give a refund or credit.
Common questions
Does buying users create the mailboxes?
No. It adds user licences and pooled storage to your domain. Mailboxes other than the administrator are created and managed in the admin console.
Why can I not add users?
Within 15 days of your expiry date, users cannot be added. Renew first, then add users.
What are the five free system IDs?
Every domain gets five automated IDs at no charge: webmaster, abuse, syncerror, postmaster and broadcast. They are for automated mail functions only, cannot be edited or deleted, and are never charged.
