Allow workday location tracking on Android
When your organisation turns on workday tracking, the XgenPlus app sends your location at set intervals through the working day. For this to work, allow location All the time with precise location, keep device location and notifications on, and set battery usage to Unrestricted. Check everything in Attendance, menu, Location Tracking Health Check.
How to allow workday location tracking on android
Where: Attendance › menu › Location Tracking Health Check
- In your phone's settings, allow XgenPlus location Allow all the time and precise location.
- Keep your phone's location switched on and allow notifications for XgenPlus.
- Set the app's battery usage to Unrestricted.
- Mark your attendance as usual at the start of the day.
- To check, open Attendance, open the menu, tap Location Tracking Health Check and tap Run full check.

Suresh visits clients all day. His organisation tracks workday location, so he grants the permissions once and the app does the rest.

Good to know
- Tracking works only if your organisation has enabled it. You cannot turn it on from the app.
- The interval and working hours are set by your organisation, not by you.
- Only one account is tracked at a time on a phone.
- After a restart or update, the app sets tracking up again.

Common questions
When does tracking run?
After you mark attendance, it runs until the end time of the working day. After you end your day it stops. If you have not marked today, it follows the working hours your organisation set.
What does Capture and upload test location do?
It asks Upload a real location? and, if you agree, sends one real location point. Use it only to test.
Why are some locations missed?
Phones can delay background work to save battery. Set battery usage to Unrestricted and remove any phone-maker background limits for XgenPlus.
