- Click the pencil icon (Modify List) next to your list.
- Under Registration, choose open, then For user of your domain only or For any one.
- Click Update to save the registration choice.

The two links
Each list shows four links in its settings window.
| Link | What it does |
|---|---|
| Permalink to subscribe through web | Opens a page where a person types their address and clicks Add. |
| The same link with an address added at the end | Adds that address at once, with no page to fill in. Useful in a mail you send to one person. |
| Permalink to Un-Subscribe through web | Opens a page where a person types their address and clicks Remove. |
| The same link with an address added at the end | Removes that address at once. |
Click the copy icon beside a link to copy it. Replace validemail@yourdomain in the second form with the real address.
Who can join
| Registration choice | Who can use the subscribe link |
|---|---|
| For user of your domain only | Only addresses of your own domain, including their aliases. Other addresses are refused. |
| For any one | Any valid address. |
| close | Nobody. The links are switched off. |
Example
Acme India puts the subscribe link for
newsletter@acme.inon its careers page. Visitors type their address and click Add. Anita sends Rohit the version with his address filled in, so he is on the list the moment he clicks it.
Good to know
- The page takes one address at a time, up to 128 characters.
- An address that is already on the list is not added twice.
Common questions
What does the person see when they open the link?
A short page asking for an email address, with an Add button on the subscribe link or a Remove button on the unsubscribe link.
Can I send a link that already has the address filled in?
Yes. Use the second form, which ends with email=. Put the person's address after it and they are added or removed straight away.
The link does not work.
Check that Registration is open and was saved with Update. With close, people cannot join through the web.
