# Use the AI assistant in XgenOffice for Windows

Click **ZenithAI** at the left of the ribbon to open the AI panel. Type what you want, such as a draft, a summary or a change, and press Enter. The assistant reads your file and edits it. Attach files with the paperclip, and click **Roll back** under a reply to undo its changes.

## How to use the AI assistant in XgenOffice for Windows

1. Open a file and click **ZenithAI** in the ribbon.
2. Type a request in the box at the bottom, or click a suggested prompt.
3. Press Enter to send. Shift+Enter starts a new line.
4. To use a file as reference, click the paperclip and choose it.
5. To undo what the AI changed, click **Roll back** under its reply.

## When to use it

> Rohit pastes notes from a client call into the panel and asks for a one-page summary with action items. The assistant writes it on the page, and Rohit asks it to make the action items a numbered list.

## Good to know

- XgenOffice for Windows is in Beta: free for paid XgenPlus plans, provided without support or warranty until its final release.
- The panel buttons at the top start a new chat, move the panel or close it.
- Click the stop button while the assistant is working to stop it.
- Your requests and attached files are sent to the AI provider of your key. Check AI work before you share the file.
- Ribbon buttons such as **AI Summarize** or **AI Beautify** also use the assistant.

## Common questions

**Why does the AI panel not answer?**

Add a working API key in **Settings** > **Account** and click **Test connection**. Without a key the assistant cannot reply.

**Can I see what the AI did?**

Yes. Click the "Worked" line under a reply to see each step it took.

**Which language does it reply in?**

It replies in the language you write in.
