# Storage keyboard shortcuts

Storage has keyboard shortcuts for common actions. Select a file and press F2 to rename it, Del to delete it, Enter to open it or Space to preview it. Ctrl+A selects everything in the folder and Esc clears the selection or closes the viewer. Press ? in Storage to show the list on screen.

## How to storage keyboard shortcuts

1. Open **Storage** and click a file to select it.
2. Press a shortcut from the table below.
3. Press ? at any time to see the shortcuts.

## When to use it

> Rahul clears out an old project folder: he presses Ctrl+A, Ctrl-clicks the two files he wants to keep to unselect them, and presses Del.

## Selecting files

- Tick the check boxes, or click a file.
- Ctrl+click (Cmd+click on a Mac) adds or removes one file. Shift+click selects a range.
- In Grid view you can also drag a box around files.
- Click empty space to clear the selection.
