# Create a graphical report for any domain

To create a graphical report, open **Reports › Graphical Report**, pick the date and the report type, type the domain name and click the validate button, then click **Search**. The Excel file is prepared in the background. Click **History** to download it. Choose count, size, login type or login geo information.

## How to create a graphical report for any domain

1. Open **Reports › Graphical Report**, or click the **Logs** icon next to the search box.
2. Click the calendar button to set the **Date**. It starts as today.
3. In **Select**, choose the report type.
4. Type the **Domain** name and click the validate button until a green tick appears.
5. Click **Search**. The message says your file is in the queue.
6. Click **History** and click the file name to download the Excel report.

## Report types

| Choice in **Select** | What the Excel file contains |
|---|---|
| **Incoming/Outgoing (count-wise)** (default) | Number of incoming and outgoing mails in each hour of the chosen date, with a chart. |
| **Incoming/Outgoing (size-wise)** | Size of incoming and outgoing mail in each hour of the chosen date, with a chart. |
| **Login Type** | Number of logins in each hour, split by how people signed in: web, one-time code, POP, IMAP and other. Includes a chart. |
| **Login Geo Information** | One row for every login on that date: domain, email address, login date, time zone, IP address, login type, country, state, city and status. |

## Fields and buttons

| Control | What it does | Default |
|---|---|---|
| **Date** | The day the report covers. Click the calendar button to change it. You cannot pick a future date. | Today |
| **Select** | The report type from the table above. | Count-wise |
| **Domain** | The domain the report is for. Type the name, then click the validate (magnifier) button. A green tick means it is accepted; a red cross means the domain was not found. | Empty |
| **Search** | Queues the report. You must validate the domain first. | |
| **History** | Opens **List Of Previously Generated Reports**: files grouped by date, today's files in bold. Click a file name to download it. The red icons delete one file or a whole date. | |

If you validate a domain before opening **History**, the list shows only that domain's files. Otherwise it shows files for every domain.

## Example

> Meera, the server admin, needs proof of where the finance team at acme.in signed in last Tuesday. She sets the **Date**, chooses **Login Geo Information**, validates acme.in, clicks **Search**, and downloads the Excel file from **History** to share with the auditor.

## Good to know

- The domain name is required for every report type.
- Reports are Excel files, so you need a spreadsheet program to open them.
- Deleting a file in **History** cannot be undone.
- Domain administrators have a similar page limited to their own domain.

## Common questions

**Why does it say my file is in the queue?**

The report is prepared in the background. Wait a few moments, then click **History**. Files made today appear in bold.

**Why do I get "Please validate domain name"?**

Type the full domain name, for example acme.in, and click the magnifier button beside it. Search works only after the tick appears.
