# Connect the SpamJadoo anti-spam server

To connect SpamJadoo, open the admin console and go to **Manage Server › SpamJadoo Settings**. Enter the **Url** and **Port** where the SpamJadoo dashboard runs and the **Integration key** from your SpamJadoo administrator. Click **Verify** to test the address, then **Save**. Users with the AntiSpam option on then get a SpamJadoo link in Settings.

## How to connect the SpamJadoo anti-spam server

1. Open **Manage Server › SpamJadoo Settings**.
2. Enter the **Url** (an IP address or server name) and the **Port** of the SpamJadoo dashboard.
3. Type the **Integration key** you received from your SpamJadoo administrator.
4. Click **Verify**. The SpamJadoo address opens in a new tab so you can check it loads.
5. Click **Save**.
6. Turn on the AntiSpam option for the domains and users who should use SpamJadoo.

## Fields

The box is called **SpamJadoo Setup**. It asks you to enter the IP and port on which the SpamJadoo dashboard is running.

| Field | What it does | Default |
|---|---|---|
| **Url** | The IP address or server name of the SpamJadoo dashboard. Required. | The last saved value |
| **Port** | The port of the dashboard. Numbers only. | The last saved value |
| **Integration key** | The key provided by the SpamJadoo administrator. The characters are hidden. | Always empty |
| **Save** | Saves the address, port and key. A message confirms it. | |
| **Verify** | Opens the address and port in a new browser tab so you can see whether the SpamJadoo dashboard loads. It does not save anything. | |

## How users get the link

Under **Note**, the page explains that to integrate SpamJadoo with XgenPlus you select the **AntiSpam** option on domain and user level. Users then get a SpamJadoo link on their Settings page, and clicking it takes them straight to their AntiSpam settings.

## Example

> The mail team at acme.in runs SpamJadoo on 10.20.1.15, port 9090. Anita enters 10.20.1.15 in **Url**, 9090 in **Port**, types the key, clicks **Verify**, sees the dashboard open in a new tab, and clicks **Save**. Users at acme.in who have AntiSpam turned on now find a SpamJadoo link in their settings.

## Good to know

- The **Integration key** box is empty each time you open the page, so type the key again when you save.
- **Verify** only opens the address in your browser. If the dashboard does not load, check the address, the port and your network route to the SpamJadoo server.
- Users see the SpamJadoo link only when AntiSpam is on for their domain and for their own account.

## Common questions

**Why is the Integration key box empty when I open the page?**

The key is never shown again after it is saved. Type it whenever you click **Save**.

**What do I see if I leave the Url or Port wrong?**

**Please enter IP value/Server Name** appears if the **Url** is empty, and **Invalid Port Value** appears if the **Port** is not a number.
