# Sign in again after your session expires

If a "Session Expired" window appears, for example after your laptop sleeps or the network drops, type your password and click **Yes, Keep Working**. You carry on where you were, with the open screen and any half-written mail still there. Click **No, Logout** if you want to end the session instead.

## How to sign in again after your session expires

1. When the session window appears, check the email address shown.
2. Type your password.
3. Click **Yes, Keep Working** to continue, or **No, Logout** to sign out.

## When to use it

> Neha, a lawyer at example.in, closes her laptop in the middle of a long reply. After the meeting she opens it, types her password in the session window, and her draft is still on screen.

## Good to know

- The window works for accounts that sign in with a company directory password too.
- If you click **No, Logout**, unsaved changes on screen are lost. Drafts saved earlier stay in **Drafts**.

## Common questions

**Why did my session expire?**

Common reasons are a long period of inactivity, the computer going to sleep, a network drop, or someone signing in to your account elsewhere when multiple login is turned off.

**Will I lose the mail I was writing?**

No, as long as you choose **Yes, Keep Working** and sign in again. The screen you had open stays as it was.
