# Sign in after moving from Google or Microsoft

If your organisation is moving to XgenPlus from Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, enter your existing address on the XgenPlus login page. When a Google or Microsoft window opens, sign in to your old account and approve. Back on the login page, confirm your password and XgenPlus creates your mailbox. This is not a general Sign in with Google.

## How to sign in after moving from Google or Microsoft

1. Open the XgenPlus login page and enter your existing work address.
2. When the Google or Microsoft window opens, sign in to your old account there and approve.
3. Return to the XgenPlus login page and confirm your password.
4. Your new mailbox is created and opens.

## When to use it

> Acme.in is moving 800 staff from Microsoft 365. Instead of IT creating every account by hand, each employee signs in to Microsoft once from the XgenPlus login page and lands in a new XgenPlus mailbox.

## Good to know

- Your administrator turns this on for the duration of the move. Outside a migration, new accounts are created by the administrator.
- To bring your old mail across, use **Import Mails** in Settings after you sign in.

## Common questions

**Why does XgenPlus ask me to sign in to Google or Microsoft?**

It proves that the address is yours. The address you sign in with there must match the address you typed on the XgenPlus login page.

**Can I use Sign in with Google every day?**

No. The Google or Microsoft check happens only once, while your organisation is migrating. After that you sign in with your XgenPlus password.
