# Allow or block multiple sign-ins

To keep your account open in only one place, go to **Settings › Default Settings** and switch off **Allow Multiple Login**. It saves at once. The next time you sign in elsewhere, XgenPlus asks whether to log out the previous session and ends it. Switch it on to use several browsers at the same time.

## How to allow or block multiple sign-ins

1. Click your profile picture and choose **Settings**.
2. Open **Default Settings** and find **Multiple Login**.
3. Switch **Allow Multiple Login** off for a single session, or on for several.

## When to use it

> Lakshmi, a compliance officer, often signs in at branch PCs. With multiple login off, any session she forgot at a branch closes as soon as she signs in at head office.

## Good to know

- With multiple login off, a session ended this way shows the session window on the other computer.
- The profile menu tells you when your account is in use in other locations.

## Common questions

**What does "You have already logged in from Ip" mean?**

Multiple login is off and your account is open somewhere else. Confirm to log out that session and continue here.
