# Allow your admin to troubleshoot your account

To let your administrator troubleshoot your account, open **Settings › Security › Admin Access** and switch on **Allow Admin Access to Account**. The administrator can then see your logs, statistics and mail headers, but not the content of your mails. The date you allowed access is shown. Switch it off when the problem is solved.

## How to allow your admin to troubleshoot your account

1. Click your profile picture, choose **Settings**, open **Security** and then the **Admin Access** tab.
2. Switch on **Allow Admin Access to Account**.
3. Tell your administrator that access is allowed.
4. When the issue is fixed, switch the toggle off again.

## When to use it

> Farah reports that a client's mails are not reaching her. She allows admin access, so IT can trace the delivery from the mail headers, and switches it off once the problem is solved.

## Good to know

- The setting covers webmail and mail apps that use IMAP or POP.
- Nothing is shared until you switch the toggle on, and you can withdraw consent at any time.

## Common questions

**Can my administrator read my mails with this switched on?**

No. Admin Access covers logs, statistics and mail headers (sender, recipients, dates and delivery details), not the body or attachments.
