# Sign in to webmail with a code from the app

Open the menu, tap Web Login, choose a login method and tap the generate button. On the computer, open your organisation's webmail login page, choose Login Via APP and type the code before the timer ends. A Web Login code lasts 20 seconds and a TOTP code lasts 30 seconds.

## How to sign in to webmail with a code from the app

1. On the computer, open your organisation's webmail login page and choose **Login Via APP**.
2. In the app, open the menu and tap **Web Login**.
3. Under **Login method**, choose **Web Login** or **TOTP**.
4. Tap **Generate Web Login Code** or **Generate TOTP Login Code**.
5. Type the code into the browser before the timer ends. The copy icon copies it.

## When to use it

> Suresh is at a customer's office and does not want to type his password on their PC. He generates a code on his phone and signs in to webmail with it.

## Options

| Option | What it does |
|---|---|
| **Web Login** | A code from the server. Valid for 20 seconds. |
| **TOTP** | A code made on your phone. Valid for 30 seconds. |
| Copy icon | Copies the code so you can paste it. |
| Display over other apps | Optional. Lets the code show over other apps. You can still read it in the app without it. |

The app remembers the last method you used for each account.

## Good to know

- **Web Login** appears only on XgenPlus accounts, and only if your organisation supports it.
- TOTP codes need your phone's date and time set to automatic.
- A code needs an internet connection. With no connection the screen shows "No offline code available".
- If the app lock is on, you are asked to unlock before the screen opens.
