5. Open your phone's Calendar or Contacts app to see the synced items.

## When to use it

> Anita accepts a meeting on the web in the morning. By the time she is in the lift, it is already in her phone's Calendar.

## Options

| Option | What it does |
|---|---|
| **Enable contact sync** | Two-way sync of your XgenPlus contacts with the phone's Contacts. |
| **Enable Calendar sync** | Two-way sync of your XgenPlus calendars with the phone's Calendar. |
| **Sync all events** | Brings the full calendar history. |
| **Sync last 6 months and onwards** | The default. Older events stay off the phone. |
| **Sync current date and onwards** | Brings today and later only. |

## Good to know

- Sync works in both directions. Changes you make in the phone's apps are uploaded, and changes from XgenPlus are downloaded.
- Calendar sync runs about every 30 minutes, when you open the app, and when XgenPlus sends an alert about an event.
- Calendars shared with you appear with the prefix SHD.
- If the same event is changed in two places at the same time, do not rely on which change wins.
- Sync needs internet.

## Common questions

**How do I stop syncing?**

Turn off the same row in Sync Setting. For calendar, choose Disable calendar syncing. The app asks whether to delete the synced contacts or calendars from the phone. Yes removes them, No keeps them.

**Why does the app ask for permission again?**

Sync needs Contacts and Calendar permission. If you refused, the app shows a message and lets you try again or open the app settings.

**Do I get alerts for new or changed events?**

Yes. When an event is added, changed or deleted, the app sends a notification. Tap it to see the title, date, time, place, description and attendees.
