# Upload and share Storage files on Android

Open a folder in Storage in the XgenPlus app. Tap Add New then Upload File to pick files from your phone. Tap a file to download and open it. For more, open the file's options for Send Link, Delete, Download, Rename or Move, or long-press to select several files.

## How to upload and share Storage files on Android

1. Open **Storage** and tap a folder. Use the path row at the top to jump back up.
2. To add files, tap **Add New** then **Upload File** and pick one or more files.
3. Tap a file to download and open it with an installed app.
4. Long-press files to select them, then choose **Delete**, **Move** or **Download**.
5. For one file, open its options and choose **Send Link**, **Rename** or **Move**. In **Select Folder**, tap into the target and tap **Select Folder**.

## When to use it

> Rohit uploads three PDFs, selects them together and moves them to the "Contracts" folder.

## Good to know

- You cannot upload files or create folders inside the office folder.
- On older Android versions, the app asks for storage permission before downloading.
- If you leave during a download, the app asks whether to cancel it.
- Size limits for uploads are set by XgenPlus, and the app shows its message if a file is refused.

## Common questions

**What does Send Link share?**

It opens the share sheet with a download link for the file. Anyone with the link can download it, so share it only with people who should have the file.

**Why can I not move a file?**

You cannot move a file into the folder it is already in, or into the office folder.
