# Change how reading and actions work

Open Settings, General settings, Display, Messages for the reading view, and Interaction for behaviour. Choose which actions show in the message toolbar, whether to go back to the list or open the next mail after deleting, which actions ask for confirmation, and what each swipe does.

## How to change how reading and actions work

1. Open **Settings** and **General settings**.
2. Tap **Interaction** or **Display**, then **Messages**.
3. Change a setting. It applies at once.

## When to use it

> Suresh turns on **Show next message after delete** so he can clear mails in a row.
