# Send a mail and what is checked first

When you tap Send, the app checks that recipients are valid, the attachments are within the limit and ready, and warns about a missing attachment or empty subject. It may flag an address that does not exist. If you are offline, it offers to keep the mail in the Outbox to send later.

## How to send a mail and what is checked first

1. Tap **Send**.
2. Fix anything the app flags, for example a missing recipient.
3. If asked "No Internet connection available. Do you want to send this email in outbox?", tap **Yes** to queue it.

## When to use it

> Suresh mistypes a colleague's address. The app tells him it was not found before the mail leaves.

## Checks in order

| Check | What you see |
|---|---|
| Recipients | Must be present and valid |
| Attachment size | Over-limit message if too large |
| Attachment reminder | **Forgot an attachment?** sheet |
| Subject | First tap warns "Subject is empty, click again to send anyway" |
| Unknown address | A message names the address that was not found. It does not stop you sending. |

## Good to know

- Mail you send while offline waits in the Outbox.
- If the address check cannot finish in time, the mail is sent anyway.
- The app has no undo send. To take a mail back, use recall on the web.
