# Store and open secrets in Secret Keeper

Open the menu in the XgenPlus app, tap Secret Keeper and enter your six-digit passkey, or use your fingerprint if you turned it on. In All Secrets, tap the add button, choose a type, enter a name and the detail and save. Tap a row to view, edit, delete or share it. The copy icon copies the value.

## How to store and open secrets in Secret Keeper

1. Open the menu, tap **Secret Keeper** and enter your six-digit passkey. It submits when you type the sixth digit.
2. In **All Secrets**, tap the add button and pick a type.
3. Enter a name and the detail, then tap **Save**.
4. Tap a row to view it. Use **Edit**, **Delete** or **Share**.
5. Tap the copy icon on a row to copy the secret value.
6. To use your fingerprint, tap the settings gear and switch on **Fingerprint Authentication**.

## When to use it

> Suresh saves "Bank PIN" with its value. Months later he opens Secret Keeper, copies it and pastes it where needed.

## Options

| Option | What it does | Default |
|---|---|---|
| **Fingerprint Authentication** | Offers fingerprint at login. Needs an enrolled fingerprint and a phone screen lock. Set per account. | Off |

## Good to know

- Share sends the secret as plain text through your phone's share sheet. Share only with people who should see it.
- Deleting asks for confirmation, and leaving an unsaved new secret asks whether to discard it.

## Common questions

**Can I see my secrets without internet?**

Yes, items already saved on the phone can be viewed. Adding, editing and deleting need internet.

**Is the copied value cleared?**

The app clears the clipboard after 60 seconds if it still holds the same value and the app is open.
