# Save and share your location on Android

Open the menu in the XgenPlus app and tap Save My Location. Allow location permission and switch on your phone's location. When the address appears, type a name in Save place as and tap Ok. After it saves, tap Share to send the address and a map link, or Close.

## How to save and share your location on Android

1. Open the menu and tap **Save My Location**.
2. Allow the location permission and turn on device location if asked.
3. Wait for the address to appear after **Getting your current location**.
4. Type a name in **Save place as** and tap **Ok**.
5. When asked **Do you want to share it now?**, tap **Share** or **Close**.

## When to use it

> Suresh finishes a customer visit and saves the place as "Client site, Jaipur" before sharing it with his team.

## Good to know

- You need internet, a working GPS fix and the location permission.
- The place is saved with its address under the name you typed.
- The toolbar has a shortcut to your attendance history.

## Common questions

**Why does it say the place name cannot be blank?**

You must type a name in Save place as before saving.
