# Log out or remove an account

Open the menu and tap Logout in the bottom bar, or open Settings, tap the account and choose Remove account. Confirm, and tick Delete Synced Calendars or Delete Synced Contacts if you want them cleared. Your mail on the server is not deleted, but you stop receiving mail on this phone.

## How to log out or remove an account

1. Open the menu and tap **Logout**, or open **Settings**, tap the account and choose **Remove account** from the overflow menu.
2. Read the message and, if you want, tick **Delete Synced Calendars** and **Delete Synced Contacts**.
3. Tap **Logout** and wait for **Signing you out** and **Removing your account**.

## When to use it

> Rohit changes jobs. Before he returns the office phone he logs out of the XgenPlus account and clears the synced calendar and contacts.

## Options

| Option | What it does | Default |
|---|---|---|
| **Delete Synced Calendars** | Removes calendar entries that came from this account | Off |
| **Delete Synced Contacts** | Removes contacts that came from this account | Off |

The two boxes show only if that sync was on.

## Good to know

- You must log in again to receive mail on this phone. The app says so in the confirmation message.
- If other accounts remain, the mailbox opens. If none remain, the app returns to account setup.
- Removing the last account also clears the app's saved data on the phone.
- If sign-out fails you see "Sign out could not be completed" and can retry.
- Logging out does not delete your mailbox. To close a mailbox, ask your administrator.
