# Register your face for attendance

The first time you open Attendance in the XgenPlus app, tap OK on the Attendance Via Face Recognition message. Follow the guide to centre your face, then left and right. Tap ADD FACE for each angle, add between 3 and 6 images, and tap Submit. The app then continues to attendance.

## How to register your face for attendance

1. Open **Attendance**. When asked to register your face, tap **OK**.
2. Read the guide for the centre, left and right positions and tap the next button.
3. Hold the phone in portrait mode and tap **ADD FACE** for each angle.
4. Add between 3 and 6 images.
5. Tap **Submit** and wait for **Photo added Successfully**.

## When to use it

> Priya joins the company. On her first morning she adds a centre, a left and a right photo, and the app takes her straight to marking attendance.

## Good to know

- You need internet to submit, and the Camera permission.
- If saving fails, the app asks you to save your face again.
- After each successful scan, the app keeps improving the stored face set on your phone.

## Common questions

**Why does it say to add at least 3 faces?**

You must add three or more images from different angles before Submit works. More than 6 is not allowed.

**When do I need to register again?**

If you used the option to mark attendance without face recognition after repeated failures, your stored face is cleared and the app asks you to register again.
