# Browse your mail list

Open the menu and tap a folder or Unified Inbox to see its messages. Tap a message to read it, tap the star to flag it, and pull down to check for new mail. Scroll to the bottom to load older messages. In Drafts, tapping a message opens it for editing.

## How to browse your mail list

1. Open the menu and tap **Unified Inbox** or a folder under **Folders**.
2. Tap a message to read it.
3. Tap the star on a row to flag or unflag it.
4. Pull down at the top to check for new mail.
5. Scroll to the bottom or tap **Load more messages** for older mail.

## When to use it

> Meera opens Inbox on the train, pulls down to fetch the latest mail and stars the invoice she must pay today.

## Options

| Item | What it does |
|---|---|
| Row | Shows picture, sender, subject, preview, date, attachment mark, conversation count and star. |
| Round compose button | Starts a new mail. You can hide it in display settings, and a **Compose** item appears in the toolbar instead. |
| Footer text | **Loading messages**, **Load more messages**, **All available messages loaded**. |
| Toolbar | **Search**, **Sort by...** and an overflow menu. |

## Good to know

- There is no Starred folder. To bring flagged mail to the top, use **Sort by** and choose **Star**.
- Pull to refresh works in folders on the server and in multi-account views. It is off in the Outbox.
- On a search results screen, pulling down starts a search on the server instead.
- Row text, size and spacing come from the display settings.
