# Tag mails on Android

To tag a received mail, open it in the XgenPlus app, tap the menu and choose Add Tag. Type a name or tap a suggested tag. Tap a tag in the mail's own list to remove it. In Compose, open the menu, tap Add Tag and pick one tag for the outgoing mail.

## How to tag mails on Android

1. Open a mail, tap the menu and choose **Add Tag**.
2. See the tags already on the mail, then the **Domain Tags** and **User Tags** you can use.
3. Type a tag name and tap the add button, or tap a suggested tag.
4. To remove a tag, tap it in the mail's own list.
5. Tap the X button to close.

## When to use it

> Rohit tags every customer mail with "Project-X" while reading, and tags a new quotation "Urgent" while composing it.

## Good to know

- Tags need an internet connection and are available for XgenPlus mailboxes.
- Domain tags are set up by your organisation and are shown for you to pick.
- A blank tag name is not accepted.

## Common questions

**Can I add more than one tag to a mail I am sending?**

No. In Compose you can attach one tag to the mail. Tap the tag again to deselect it.

**Why does the app say a tag is a duplicate?**

The tag is already on that mail. Each tag can be added only once.
