# Understand your mail folders

The menu lists Inbox, Outbox, Sent, Drafts, Trash, Spam and Snoozed first, then your other folders alphabetically. Outbox is kept on the phone for mail waiting to send. Archive, Spam, Trash, Drafts and Sent point to folders on your server that you can choose in account settings.

## How to understand your mail folders

1. Open the menu.
2. Tap **Folders** to expand or collapse the list.
3. Tap a folder to open it.

## When to use it

> Meera cannot find a mail she deleted. She opens Trash and moves it back.

## Options

| Folder | What it is |
|---|---|
| Inbox, Sent, Drafts, Trash, Spam | Folders on your mail server |
| Archive | Where **Archive** sends mail, if you chose a folder |
| Outbox | Only on the phone. Mail waiting to be sent. |
| Snoozed | Holds snoozed mail on the server |

## Good to know

- Folders are placed by name. A folder with a different name is not moved to the top.
- Counts beside folders show unread mail. Starred counts can be added in display settings.
- With no Trash folder set, Delete removes the mail straight away.
