# Set sync and alerts for one folder

Open the menu, tap Manage folders and tap a folder. Pick its display, poll, push and notification class, switch Show in top group, and choose whether it feeds the Unified Inbox. The class you give a folder decides whether it is shown, checked on a schedule, kept live and allowed to notify.

## How to set sync and alerts for one folder

1. Open the menu and tap **Manage folders**.
2. Tap the folder.
3. Change **Folder display class**, **Folder poll class**, **Folder push class** or **Folder notification class**.
4. Turn **Unify** or **Show in top group** on or off.

## When to use it

> Suresh gives his Clients folder 1st Class for notifications so its mails alert him.

## Options

| Setting | Choices | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| **Show in top group** | On, off | Pins the folder near the top |
| **Folder display class** | No Class, 1st Class, 2nd Class | Used by the show-folders choices |
| **Folder poll class** | None, 1st Class, 2nd Class, Same as display class | Used by **Poll folders** |

| **Folder notification class** | No Class, 1st Class, 2nd Class, Same as push class | Whether new mail can notify |

## Good to know

- Unify shows an effect only if Unified Inbox is turned on.
