# Choose the app language

On first launch, pick a language on the Choose Language screen and tap Continue. To change it later, open the menu, tap Change Language, choose a language and tap OK. The app shows the new language at once and refreshes your mailbox. 22 languages are available.

## How to choose the app language

1. Open the menu (swipe from the left edge or tap the menu icon).
2. Tap **Change Language**.
3. Search for a language or scroll the list and tap it.
4. Tap **OK**. The mailbox refreshes in the new language.

## When to use it

> Meena in Chennai prefers Tamil. She opens **Change Language**, picks Tamil and the whole app, including the setup screens for a new account, appears in Tamil.

## Languages

Arabic, Assamese, Bangla, Chinese, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Japanese, Kannada, Kazakh (Cyrillic), Kazakh (Latin), Korean, Malayalam, Marathi, Punjabi, Russian, Sinhala, Tamil, Telugu, Thai and Urdu are among the 22 languages.

## Options

| Option | What it does |
|---|---|
| **Search language** | Filters the list as you type. If nothing matches you see "No language found". |
| **Suggested** (first launch) | Shows English at the top so you can continue quickly. |

## Good to know

- Some screens may still appear in English if a text has no translation in your language.
- The language setting changes the app only. Your mail and your webmail language are not affected.
