# Draft a reply with AI Reply on Android

Tap Reply or Reply all in the XgenPlus app, then tap the animated AI Reply icon on the compose screen. A Powered Reply box generates a short reply to the mail. Tap Use This Reply to put it in the body, then edit it and send.

## How to draft a reply with AI Reply on Android

1. Open a mail and tap **Reply** or **Reply all**.
2. Tap the animated AI Reply icon on the compose screen.
3. Wait while **Generating AI response** finishes.
4. Tap **Use This Reply** to place the text in your mail, or tap X to close.
5. Edit the text and send.

## When to use it

> A customer asks Rohit for a delivery date. He taps the AI Reply icon, reviews the short answer it drafts, adds the date and sends it.

## Good to know

- The suggestion is based on the mail you are replying to. If that mail has no text, the app says there is no content to answer.
- Treat the draft as a starting point and read it before sending.
- AI Reply needs an internet connection and is available for XgenPlus mailboxes.

## Common questions

**Can I choose the tone or language of the reply?**

No. The reply is a short, professional answer in English. Use AI Compose if you want to choose tone, length or language.

**Why is the AI Reply icon missing?**

It appears only when you reply, not when you forward, edit a draft or write a new mail.
