# Browse mail by smart category

Smart categories group your mail automatically. In the left pane, click **Category** to expand the list, then click a category such as **All New Mails**, **High Priority**, **Today's Mail** or **Attachment**. The matching mails from your folders open in the main area. You do not need to create filters or rules.

## How to browse mail by smart category

1. In the left pane, click **Category** to expand it.
2. Click a category, for example **High Priority**.
3. Open any mail in the list as usual.
4. Click **Category** again to collapse the list.

## When to use it

> Every morning Arvind, a plant manager, clicks High Priority under Category to read urgent mail first, then Today's Mail to see what else came in.

## Categories you may see

| Category | Shows |
|---|---|
| **All New Mails**, Read, Forwarded, Replied | Mail by status. |
| **High Priority** | Mail marked high priority. |
| **Today's Mail**, Yesterday's Mail | Mail by date. |
| Scheduled Mail, Reply Awaited | Mail you scheduled or are waiting on. |
| **Attachment** | Mail with files attached. |
| Shared By Me, Shared By Other | Mail shared between colleagues. |
| Mailing List, Pendings | Shown only to mailing-list moderators. |

## Good to know

- Categories are views, not folders. A mail stays in its folder and also appears in every category it matches.
- The list you see depends on the features your organisation uses.
