# Spot trusted senders by colour

Your domain administrator picks a colour for each internal domain, so mail from colleagues and group companies shows the sender in that colour. You can colour mail from outside senders yourself with a filter rule. Mail that matches neither keeps the normal colour, so a look-alike address stands out at a glance.

## How to spot trusted senders by colour

1. Open any folder. Sender names from internal domains appear in the colour your administrator chose.
2. Treat a familiar-looking sender name that is not coloured with care, and check the full address.

## When to use it

> At a bank using acme.in, the administrator colours mail from the bank's group companies. When Meera sees "CEO Office" in plain black from acme-in.co, she knows it is from outside and reports it.

## Good to know

- Your domain administrator sets internal domain colours: in the admin console, click the domain name, open its options and pick a colour for the internal domains listed there. The option reads "All Emails received from above mentioned internal domain(s) will display in selected color".
- Colours for mail from external senders are set by you, using filter rules.
- It works together with the **Internal** and **External** label you see when you open a mail.
