# Save a mail as a template

To save a template, write the mail in Classic compose and click **Save as Template**. It is stored in the **Template** folder with its subject, body and attachments. To reuse it, open the **Template** folder, open the template, change what you need and send it. Templates are available only in Classic compose.

## How to save a mail as a template

1. Click the arrow next to **Compose Mail** and turn on **Classic**, then click **Compose Mail**.
2. Write the mail, including the subject and any attachments.
3. Click **Save as Template**.
4. To reuse it, open the **Template** folder in the left pane and open the template.
5. Edit the recipients and details, then send it.

## When to use it

> The accounts team at acme.in sends the same payment reminder to customers every month. Deepa saved it once as a template. Each month she opens it from the Template folder, changes the amount and due date, and sends it.

## Good to know

- Templates are in Classic compose only. To switch, click the arrow next to **Compose Mail** and turn on **Classic**.
- The template keeps its subject, body and attachments.
