# Use the right-click menu on a mail

To act on a mail without opening it, right-click it in the mail list. The menu offers **Quick Reply**, **Quick Forward**, **Add to Contacts**, **Reply**, **Forward**, **Block** and **Un | Read**. Choose an item and it acts on that mail. You can turn the menu off with **Show right click menu** in your settings.

1. Right-click a mail in the list.
2. Choose an action, for example **Quick Reply** or **Add to Contacts**.
3. Follow the prompt for that action.

## Common questions

**Why are Reply or Forward missing from the menu?**

Your administrator has removed the reply or forward right from your account, so those items are hidden.

**Why do I see the browser's own menu instead?**

The XgenPlus menu is turned off. Turn on **Show right click menu** under Settings › **Default Settings**.
